Psychology can lead you in more directions than just being a psychologist. Yes, you can go get a graduate designation and become a professional psychologist, but there's a lot more. You can apply your knowledge to studies of human behaviour in anthropological and social scenarios all over the world or in laboratory settings. You can use your knowledge of people to pursue a career in law, management or education. Help save the world by helping the needy through social work or fighting crime in criminology. Psychology grads are in high demand everywhere.

- Thorough Understanding of People: This is what
psychology is all about, so it's inevitable that you'll learn a lot
about the human mind how it works. This knowledge will be highly
useful when interacting with customers, employees, managers,
colleagues, students, and everyone else you'll encounter in your
life, which makes it one useful skill to learn.
- Communication Skills: Studying psychology will
encourage you to work and collaborate with others, noting things
such as team dynamics and interactions. With such knowledge and
experience you will be able to communicate effectively, and this is
important as communication skills are useful everywhere.
- Analysis Skills: Psychologists don't just
study theories, they conduct real world experiments. You'll need
your math and data analysis skills to arrive at real conclusions
and prove or disprove psychological theories. Analysis skills are
useful in the real world, whether you do research or industrial

Coming out of high school and not sure how to start your psychology career? You can start by taking some useful courses- English, communications, psychology, world issues, anthropology, etc. And don't be scared of the maths and sciences, these will help develop your logical, organized state of mind and will be very useful when you conduct future research.
Many
psychology students benefit from participating in extra curricular
activities that demonstrate things like communication and
leadership skills. To expand your psychological activities, you can
join various school clubs in leadership roles, participate in
public political demonstrations and volunteer in religious settings
you support. Also, make sure to introduce yourself to the basics of
psychology by reading several introductory books
