I would look at my transferable skills and would find ways to apply those skills in a new job. I think I shouldn’t have big problems considering that I have a MBA, speak four languages, consider myself as ambitious, willing to learn, with lots of different business skills, the motivation to move things and make a difference to peoples’/companies’ lives and last but not least PASSION.

You are really scaring us…...Oh not me really….If my job vanishes tomorrow I will go back to my teaching profession which I always will be happy to take up. Even if that vanishes I think I have to go back to my village and cultivate the agricultural land of my in-laws.
I agree with the idea of transferable skills, it’s important to take a look at your abilities and find something you can do and might enjoy doing if you’re forced to look for a new job.
A lot of people these days go to a career college to improve on their work skills and increase their employablility. It’s actually a pretty good idea, since career colleges are not very expensive and their programs are fairly short, so it’s a simple way to get into a new type of job.
I will say thanks to my current employer and start hunting for new opportunity….There is no end to the work and there is no end to people willing to work….
